Alan Hatherly and Candice Lill won the respective elite men’s and women’s cross-country races at the sixth round of the SA MTB Cup Series XCO in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, today.
Both riders also won the fifth round yesterday.
Hatherly won his race in 1:15:39, while Cameron Wright (1:19:17) placed second and Arno du Toit (1:19:24) third.
Lill completed the five-lap course in 1:16:23, with Cherie Redecker (1:17:52) and Mariske Strauss (1:19:18) second and third.
Zoe Cuthbert won the junior women’s race, with Luke Moir claiming victory in the men’s race.
