Australian Caleb Ewan sprinted to victory on stage 16 of the Tour de France that finished in Nimes today.
The Lotto Soudal rider, who also won stage 11, crossed the finish line in 3:57:08.
Ewan beat Italian Elia Viviani (Deceuninck-Quick-Step) and Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma) into second and third respectively.
Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick-Step) still tops the general classification and has a 1:35 lead over defending champion Geraint Thomas (Ineos). Steven Kruijswijk (Team Jumbo-Visma) remains third overall.
The 17th stage of this year’s Tour covers 200km from Pont Du Gard to Gap.
