Pepijn Reinderink won the opening stage of the Tour du Valromey in Blyes yesterday.
He claimed a winning time of 2:49:04 in the 119km stage. Axel Rome crossed the line in second place, with Milan Paulus third.
South Africans Matthew Fortuin finished 36th on the day, with Benino Hans 63rd and Damon Fouchee 111st. Charl Swanepoel had to withdraw due to injury.
