Luka Mezgec (Mitchelton-Scott) won stage five of the Tour de Pologne in Bielsko-Biała yesterday.
The Slovenian beat Eduard Prades (Movistar Team) and Ben Swift (Team Ineos) into second and third respectively.
Fourth place went to Petr Vakoc (Deceuninck-Quick-Step), while Pierre Latour (AG2R La Mondiale) completed the top five.
“I’m really happy because I was working hard for this. I was really motivated and to get these results straight away – it’s a big relief and a sign that the training has been working,” said the stage winner.
Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe) retained his overall lead, with Mezgec second and Swift third.
