Gerrit de Vries and Gawie Combrinck won The Repeat, the second of the two 24-hour Trans Baviaans mountain bike races, in Jeffreys Bay today.
They completed the 230km event from Willowmore in 9:25:20, beating Garth Ennion and Wesley Lentz by two minutes.
Jan-Paul Gerber and Vickus Boshoff followed almost another two minutes later along with Waldo Zevenster and Malcolm Isaacs.
Cobus Swanepoel and MC Dreyer took fifth when they finished in 9:34:54.
The women’s team event was won by Ilse Nel and Cherise Odendaal. Jay Carneiro, Bruce and Tracey Campbell won the mixed category.
