South Africa’s Luke Moir finished fifth in the junior men’s cross-country race at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada, yesterday.
Moir came in a minute and a half later than Britain’s Charlie Aldridge, who was crowned the world champion after he completed the event in 1:07:31.
Frenchman Luca Martin (+0:00:11) took second with Italian Andreas Emanuele Vittone (+0:00:20) in third.
Canada’s Carter Woods, who finished 37 seconds behind Aldridge, completed the top five.
