Nico Bell and Wessel Botha won the men’s team race on stage two of the 3 Towers mountain bike race in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, yesterday.
Second place went to Shaun-Nick Bester and Timo Cooper, while Willem van Eck and Lodewicus Breytenbach finished third in the 70km stage.
Carli Cooke and Melissa Kretinger won women’s team race. Lee Ziervogel and Michelle Zulch placed second, with Tracey Reynolds and Val Bontekoning third.
The mixed team event was won by Yolandi du Toit and Andrew Grobler, while Adrienne and Anton Moolman placed second and Kirsten Gillespie and Christiaan Kellerman third.
Gerrit de Vries claimed victory in the solo men’s race.
