Matthew Leppan and Nicky Giliomee won the respective men’s and women’s solo events on stage two of the Dr Evil Classic in Plettenberg Bay today.
Martin Schuttert and Siphe Ncapayi placed second and third in the men’s race.
“Today I really wanted to race with Matthew and Martin for as long as I could,” said Ncapayi.
“Yesterday I was too far behind, but today was better and I was happy to be able to keep up with them and learn from them.
“Tomorrow I’m aiming for a second or maybe even a stage win.”
Nikki Biesheuvel claimed second in the women’s event, with Louise Ferreira third.
