Louis Visser claimed his first win in the Race for Victory that took place in Johannesburg today.
The 20-year-old, who recently returned from a stint of racing in Europe, said he was happy to finally get a win under the belt.
“The goal is always to win, whether it’s trying to get the win for myself or helping someone in the team to win,” said the TEG Procycling rider.

Visser, who has raced overseas since his first year as a junior, said he felt his form was currently good.
“I’ve just returned from racing in Spain so I was expecting a good result.”
He said during the 110km race the bunch did not let anyone go for the first part, but at around the 40km mark he got away with his teammate Casper Kruger, Steven van Heerden and Dylan Girdlestone.
“We stayed together until around 83km and then we dropped Casper and Dylan after they’d been pulling on the front for a while.
“I was then solo for a few kilometres but then I was caught so I decided to wait for the sprint.
“In the break I knew Steven was probably the fastest so I was on his wheel going into the finish.”
Van Heerden ultimately placed second, with Alex Worsdale third.
“Regarding the route, it was flat and I would’ve liked a few more bumps in the road, but at the end of the day it worked out.
“The best feeling was knowing that I finally got a win for the team.”
