Mathieu van der Poel claimed the overall victory after he won stage eight of the Tour of Britain in Manchester today.
The Duthcman, who rides for Corendon-Circus, completed the tour 17 seconds ahead of Italian Matteo Trentin and a another 33 second in front of Belgian Jasper De Buyst (Lotto Soudal).
Mitchelton-Scott’s Trentin was third to finish the 166km eight stage from Altrincham, while compatriot to Van der Poel, Cees Bol of Sunweb, took third.
