South Africa’s Frances Janse van Rensburg finished 12th in the junior women’s individual time-trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire, England, today.
She finished 57 seconds behind world champion Aigul Gareeva, who completed the 13.7km test against the clock in 22:16.
The Russian cyclist was followed three seconds later by the Netherlands’ Shirin van Anrooij, while Britain’s Elynor Backstedt, who came in seven seconds later, claimed third.
