All-new Canyon Lux models now available in SA

October 9, 2019, 9:05 pm By In the Bunch

Canyon Lux cross-country bicycles powered Mathieu van der Poel to the XCO European title as well as multiple World Cup victories while delivering Pauline Ferrand-Prévot to XCO and XCM world titles this season.

The success story for the German online brand included Ronja Eibl winning the overall classification of the U23 World Cup and Kristian Hynek collecting silver on a Canyon Exceed at the XCM world championships.

Moulded from the same DNA, the 2020 models are now available to the public on canyon.com.

The Lux CF was an all-new release in 2019 and the 2020 models are fitted with refreshed components for better performance.

The Lux CF SL bikes still come with 110mm of front travel with many models featuring a range of new parts, such as Shimano’s new 12-speed XT group and the new RockShox SID Select fork.

With 100mm of front and rear travel, the Lux CF SLX models are pure racing machines. The 9.0 Team is a true standout bike, ready to race in the livery of Van der Poel’s Corendon-Circus team.

And, in terms of tech, the Lux CF SLX 9.0 Race Ltd leads the way with its state-of-the-art SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset.

The 2020 Lux CF range features seven models, including a women’s specific WMN version and a frameset. These bikes weigh in from 10.1kg.

After racing to silver at the Worlds, the 2020 Exceed CF is primed for next season. The range features nine models, including two women’s specific WMN bikes.

With Reynolds carbon wheels, the Exceed CF SL 7.0 is testament to Canyon’s self-stated aim of democratising performance.

The top model in the 2020 range is the Exceed CF SLX 9.0 Race Ltd, dressed up with SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS electronic shifting. These machines weigh in at as little as 8.9 kg.
