Herman Fourie and Gunther Katzke claimed victory on stage one of the Berg and Bush ‘Two-Day’ mountain bike race in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, today.
Werner and Warren Moolman were the second men’s team to the finish the 60km race, while Phillip Naude and Adriaan van Wyk finish third.
Bridget and Timothy Theunissen topped the mixed category ahead of Natalie Long and Boela van Staden. Third were Brett Vincent and Eudia Swart.
Kerrie Slater and Theresa Couzyn finished ahead of Karla Stumpf and Jessica James, making them the winners of the women’s competition. Jo-Anne Rogers-White and Danilee Reilly rounded out the podium.
