It was an incredible start of the Women’s World Tour season for Liane Lippert as she managed to claim an excellent victory in the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race in Geelong, Australia.

The German, who rides for the Sunweb, put in a late attack that secured her victory ahead of last years winner Arlenis Sierra (Astana Womens Team).
Sierra led the pursuit with a trio that included Amanda Spratt and Tayler Wiles but was unable to reach Lippert and had to settle for second place.
Lippert finished the 121.5 km route in 3:17:46.
