Matt Beers and Anne Terpstra were the respective men’s and women’s winners of the 13.5km prologue on the opening day of the Knysna Bull, which started at the waterfront last night.

Beers (NAD Pro MTB) completed the race in 26:06. Justin Tuck (Gear Change) finished two minutes and 54 seconds later, with Kevin Evans (The Bike Shop) three minutes and 46 seconds behind the winner.
In the women’s race, Terpstra (Ghost Factory Racing) finished in 30:18. Barbra Benko (Ghost Factory Racing) crossed the line 19 second later, while Robyn de Groot (dormakaba) finished one minute and 29 seconds behind Terpstra.
The U23 races were won by Tristan Nortje (Imbuko Giant) and Zandri Strydom (Specialized).
