Talented South African teenager Chante Olivier will join junior women’s team Wielerzone in the Netherlands next month.

The 16-year-old from Bloemfontein said the outfit approached her while she was racing in the European Junior Tour at Assen last year.
“I’m so excited to be given this opportunity,” said Olivier, who is not completely new to the international scene.
“In 2019 I did a XCO Swiss and Italian Cup in the youth categories, finishing third in both. In 2018 and last year I also raced in the already mentioned tour in Assen and in a six-day-tour.”
She said the team wanted her for the whole season, but due to visa restrictions she would have to travel back and forth until she was 18.
