Trailseeker Series results: Sebastian Fini wins at a canter

Sebastian Fini of Denmark won the first race of the 2020 Trailseeker Series – which took place at Banhoek in the Western Cape – at a canter today.

Fini completed the 61km marathon in 2:27:43, beating Martins Blums of Latvia by more than four minutes. Mathias Fluckiger finished third in 2:32:21.

Adelheid Morath of Germany was the first woman to cross the line (2:56:48). She was followed home by Yana Belomoina of the Ukraine and Lia Schrievers of Germany.

The 34km half-marathon men’s race was won by Joshua Burger (1:27:58) with Eben Baasden and Matthew Leppan completing the podium.

In the women’s half-marathon, Caren Henschel (1:47:20) got the better of Nienke Mostert and Amila Mntuyedwa.
