Due to the continued global spread of the coronavirus, the first, second and fourth rounds of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup have been postponed, according to the organisers.
These were scheduled to take place in Lousa (Portugal) on March 21 and 22, Maribor (Slovenia) on May 2 and 3 and Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) on May 22, 23 and 24.
New dates for these events will be confirmed in due course.
Rounds three and five, scheduled to take place in Losinj (Croatia) on May 9 and 10 and in Fort William (Great Britain) on June 6 and 7, have been cancelled at the request of the organisers.
Regarding the E-MTB Cross Country World Cup, the second round, scheduled to have taken place in Ascona-Locarno (Switzerland) from April 17 to 18, and the third round, in Bologna (Italy) from June 5 to 6, have been postponed.
This year’s MTB World Championships is due to be held in Albstadt, Germany, from June 25 to 28. However, due to the constantly evolving health situation this event may also be postponed to a later date.
