South African Ryan Gibbons placed fourth in the opening stage of the Tour for All yesterday.
The NTT Pro Cycling rider was also the highest individual points scorer on the day.
The 52.8km stage, which took place on the Innsbruckring course, was won by Freddy Ovett (Israel Start-Up Nation).
Ovett outsprinted Emmanuel Morin (Cofidis) and Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix) to the line.
“Although e-racing is different than road racing, we just carried out the best possible tactic,” said Ovett.
“Winning against riders like Van der Poel and Uran is fantastic.”
Stage two will cover 46.2km and will take place on the Richmond course.
