Cycle Nation’s Hansie Joubert was the inaugural winner of the The Munga Grit, which started and finished at the Cradle of Humankind over the weekend.
He completed the 500km solo mountain bike race in 22 hours and 54 minutes, beating ProTouch’s Kent Main (24:08) and Mud Buster’s Dewald Lotter (24:20).
Erika Bornman (32:47) took the honours in the women’s section ahead of Caroline Francis (34:52) and Aryna Edwards (34:57).
