Mike Woolnough braved harsh winds to once again claim victory in the Race to Cradock in the early hours of this morning.
Woolnough completed the 580km self-navigated mountain bike race, which started at Rhodes in the Eastern Cape, in 47 hours and four minutes. It was the fourth fasted time in the event’s history.
Janine Stewart was the first woman to finish, clocking a record time of 60 hours and 10 minutes.
Riders have a maximum of six days to complete the ride.
