Arno du Toit and Gert Heyns secured overall victory in the sani2c Race after winning the third and final stage between Jolivet Farm and Scottburgh Golf Club in KwaZulu-Natal today.
The DSV Pro Cycling duo completed the 86km course in 3:09:31 to beat Pyga-Euro Steel’s Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes (3:14:15). Buys and Beukes also placed second in the general classification.
Insect Science’s Keagan Bontekoning and Brendan van Eeden (3:18:35) placed third in the stage and on GC.
Team dormakaba’s Robyn de Groot and Amy McDougall took overall honours in the women’s event after winning the final stage in 3:36:48.
The Galileo Risk-Infiniti pairing of Sarah Hill and Theresa Ralph finished the day in 3:44:26 to claim second on the stage and in the overall standings.
