Italian Filippo Ganna underlined his status as the world’s leading individual time-trial exponent with a dominating victory at the UAE Tour today.
Ganna, the world ITT champion, covered stage two’s 13km route in a scarcely believable time of 13:56.
Switzerland’s Stefan Bissegger (EF Education-Nippo) took second 14 seconds behind, while Denmark’s Mikkel Bjerg (UAE Team Emirates) completed the podium a further seven seconds adrift.
