South Africa’s Stefan de Bod is fast developing into one of the UCI WorldTour’s premier time-trialists.
The 24-year-old Astana-Premier Tech rider once again displayed his skills against the clock in Tuesday’s stage two of the Volta a Catalunya.
De Bod clocked the ninth-fastest time on the 18.5km course in Banyoles.
After an eighth-place in the individual time-trial at last month’s UAE Tour, De Bod showed consistency to record his second top 10 result in what is his debut season with the Kazakhstan team.
