Entries have officially opened for the inaugural Bestmed Paarl MTB Classic, presented by the City of Drakenstein, taking place on November 16.
The race will travel through Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve and beautiful wine farms. Riders will also be able to enjoy some wonderful single track at Rhebokskloof Estate and the Taal Monument.
Distances for the event include 60km and 30km. Entry fees are R180 for the 60km and R140 for the 30km.
The 60km race is aimed at accomplished mountain bikers looking for a new and true off-road challenge, while the 30km presents a more manageable ride but cyclists still have to get all the way up the mountain before they can enjoy a mostly downhill section.
