OMX Pro Team’s Mariske Strauss is set to take on the second round of the Stihl 2015 XCO Cup Series at the Voortrekker Monument in Gauteng on Saturday, March 28, just a week after completing the Absa Cape Epic.

Strauss has been recovering from a serious injury to her abdominal muscles suffered at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last year and the XCO will be her first national race since being injured.
“I am nervous as it will be high intensity work but everything seems to be going smoothly so far and I cannot wait to be back on my bike,” she said.
“I always love a new challenge and there are always new tricks and turns up the sleeves of the course designers, so I can’t wait to see what the track has in store for us.”
