This is the third time the Norwegian rider has secured a fifth position during this year’s Le Tour, the first in stage four and the second in stage five.
Team MTN-Qhubkea also claimed the stage team classification today for the second time during the tour.
Team Lotto-Soudal’s André Greipel won the 183km stage today, with Team Sky’s Chris Froome retaining the yellow jersey in the overall classification.
