South African rider Louis Meintjes claimed an impressive top five position in the 12th stage of the 2015 Tour de France, which took place from Lannemezan to Plateau de Beille today.
Meintje’s team mate Serge Pauwels was the second MTN-Qhubeka rider to cross the line today in 32nd place, which puts him as the top African rider in general classification in 26th position.
MTN-Qhubeka remains seventh overall in the team classification after stage 12.
Team Katusha’s Joaquim Rodriguez won the 195km stage today, with Team Sky’s Chris Froome holding onto the yellow jersey in the overall classification.
