International bike brand Specialized will host a Body Geometry Fit conference at Spier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch on the evening of November 26.
The medical experts who developed the science and technology behind the bicycle fitment system will travel to South Africa to share their knowledge with the public.
USA-based Dr Andy Pruitt, Dr Roger Minkow and Scott Holz will take part in interactive and informative sessions, including live blood flow demonstrations and discussions on the development of shoe, saddle and glove designs.
Body Geometry Fit was established in Boulder, Colorado, 20 years ago and has become one of the leading bike fit systems worldwide.
Its guiding principle is to adjust the bike to the rider’s body and not vice versa in determining the most efficient riding position.
The system is designed and to maximise power, endurance and comfort by customising a rider’s bike and equipment at all three contact points – hand, foot and seating.
