The top masters and veteran category finishers at last month’s Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic have qualified for the newly renamed UCI Granfondo World Championships in Perth, Australia, next year.

Formerly known as the UCI Masters Road World Championships, the October event will mark the culmination of the UCI Granfondo World Series.
The Amashova is one of 15 qualifying events worldwide, which allow masters riders to earn their spot without having to compete internationally. Former pro cyclist Nic White is among South Africa’s successful candidates.
All Amashova category winners may collect their jerseys, and qualifiers can fetch their medals, from Cycling South Africa officials at the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge Expo at the Ticketpro Dome from November 12.
