The two-day expedition pushed riders to the limits, with the cyclist covering 370km in just 14 hours on day one and then setting an easier pace on the downward route towards the KwaZulu-Natal coastal city on day two.

Mastermind and organiser Kelvin du Sart of the Westville Cycle Club said everything had gone according to plan and all participants had successfully completed the ride.
Du Sart said the previous editions had raised in excess of half a million rand for the non-profit foundation, which focuses on education and skills development and aims to create a generation of young people who are inspired, healthy and engaged.
Foundation director Natasja Ambrosio praised the cyclists’ courage in putting their bodies on the line to raise funds and awareness.
“With their help and everyone who has organised, supported and donated we are able to continue to impact thousands of young South Africans and give them the opportunity to become something significant, a task we have been passionately doing for the past ten years.”
