Primal will donate cycling clothing worth thousands of pounds to The Africa Rising Kit Appeal, which is supported by Team Dimension Data pros Matt Brammeier and Rwandan Adrien Niyonshuti.

Brammeier initiated the project this year with the goal of providing young Rwandan cyclists with cycling kit.
Brammeier and Niyonshuti met when they rode for South African UCI Continental team, MTN Qhubeka, in 2015. After spending time together, Brammeier came to learn more about the struggle that Niyonshuti faced following the 1994 genocide.
“After signing my first professional contract I couldn’t believe how much cycling gear I was given,” said Brammeier. “I only used some of it once or twice in a season.
“Initially, I started sending kit back to my old cycling club to help children who were just starting out in the sport, however, I’m now so pleased to be able to send kit to those who don’t just want it, but actually need it.
“It’s fantastic that Primal has decided to support what I believe is such a worthy cause; to help to give inspiration to those children in Rwanda who ironically have inspired me so much.
“We believe that cycling is a positive influence globally and this is certainly reflected in Niyonshuti’s journey to becoming a professional cyclist,” said Primal Europe directors James and Judith Smith.
“Like Matt, we are delighted to be able to assist with such a positive initiative and to be a small part of helping to change these young peoples’ lives.”
