Morne van Niekerk opened Team Telkom’s account when he won the Dash for Cash criterium near the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Sunday.

The race formed part of the week-long cycling festivities in Mpumalanga.
The format saw aggressive racing from the start as the last two riders on each lap were eliminated.
Van Niekerk jumped clear of the field after some good work by his team.
Lights by Linea’s Stefan Ihlenfeldt and Roadcover’s Gustav Basson fought hard to bring him back, but they were policed by Van Niekerk’s team-mate Nolan Hoffman and he was able to hang on for the win.
