Entries for the 2017 Cape Town Cycle Tour will open today at 1pm for the 40th edition of the event taking place on March 12, 2017.
The application window will remain open until 4pm on August 23.
Prospective riders can apply at www.capetowncycletour.com, which will amount to an indication of interest only, and will not ensure an entry.
During the week starting on Monday, August 29, successful applicants will receive confirmation emails to advise that they have been awarded an entry.
Riders will have until 1pm on September 5 to make payment to secure their entry.
International entries will be open from August 29 to February 24.
Hertzog Boulevard will see 35 000 cyclists lining up for the 109km loop of the peninsula, participating in the world’s largest timed cycling event.
