The South African cycling community is in mourning following the death of Frank Buckle who passed away from a heart attack during the Piketberg Community Cycle Race in the Western Cape on Sunday.

The 55-year-old was a keen rugby player in his early days, but he later developed a passion for cycling and completed the Cape Town Cycle Tour 28 times.
In a message from fiancée Delien Coetser’s family, they said they would always remember Buckle’s warm heart, his friendly nature and his love for his family and friends.
