The 2017 Bestmed Tour of Good Hope offers a new route and distance for the time-trial stage taking place on day two.
The stage has been shortened from 37km to 25km, with a total ascent of 283m, and moves to northern Paarl on quieter roads with broad shoulders.
The route starts off gently, exiting the Boland Agricultural School and turning left before heading predominantly downhill to the R44.
It will be followed by a left turn towards Wellington for a 2km stint on the R44 (this road boasts a 2m wide shoulder) before making another left turn on the Ou Paardeberg Road.
The Ou Paardeberg road is quiet and represents 10km of hard work on a gradual consistent rise before another left turn which signals a fast section back to the finish line at the school.
The Tour of Good Hope encompasses five days of clover leaf racing through the scenic Cape Winelands from March 6 to 10.
