The Bestmed Tour of Good Hope will have earlier start times for the four road stages when the event takes place from March 6 to 10.
Stages one, three, four and five will start at 6.30am with only the 25km time trial on stage two now sticking to its time of 8am.
“Not only will riders get through these stages much easier, presenting fewer medical emergency challenges, but it also makes coordination on these days lighter with less traffic early on and it aids in waterpoint management,” said Tour Director Darren Herbst from ASG.
According to Herbst entries for the Tour are almost full now with a rider contingent of 750 being allowed to take part.
“We will keep entries open until January 31 or as soon as we reach the entry total.”
