Results for the second race in the KZN Summer Series, won by Brendon Davids, can be viewed below.
The RoadCover rider, who soloed to victory in the first race, was followed home by teammate Kent Main and Team BCX’s Calvin Beneke.
Davids and Main formed part of the initial leading bunch of close to 30 riders, the survivors of the first climb of the day.
Northcliff Cycles’ Alex Pavlov broke away after 26km of racing and built up a lead of 1:45.
The race was then temporarily neutralised after a rider had an incident with a cow. When the race continued, Pavlov was reeled in and Davids, Main and Sampada Cycling Team’s Jan Montshioa went clear.
The latter was eventually dropped by the RoadCover duo, with Davids getting the better of Main at the finish.
Team BCX’s Calvin Beneke beat Ivan Venter in a two-man sprint to take third on the day almost four minutes behind.
