Entries for next year’s TransCape MTB, taking place from Knysna to Franschoek from February 4 to 10, will open on Friday.
The two entry options are the Premier Accommodation Package which is limited to 120 riders and the Luxury Tented Accommodation Package limited to 150 riders.
Riders can enter as two-person teams or as solo.
The premier accommodation package offers hotel and guest house accommodation while the luxury tented accommodation package offers luxury tents.
Wines2Whales founder Johan Kriegler will be at the helm of route proceedings and he will be assisted by Cape Epic route specialist Pieter van Wyk.

Stage 1: Knysna – Wilderness; Race Village at Wilderness Hotel
Stage 2: Wilderness – Mossel Bay; Race Village at Point Hotel
Stage 3: Mossel Bay – Riversdale; Race Village at Hoerskool Langenhoven
Stage 4: Riversdale – Swellendam; Race Village at Gaiko Lodge
Stage 5: Riversdale – Greyton; Race Village at Searles Restaurant
Stage 6: Greyton – Houwhoek; Race Village at Houwhoek Inn
Stage 7: Houwhoek – Franschhoek
