Alejandro Valverde won his fourth Liège-Bastogne-Liège title as he out-sprinted Dan Martin and Michal Kwiatkoswki at the last of the Ardennes Classics’s today in Belgium.
The Movistar rider gave a strong push for the finish in the last hundred meters and finished in a time of 6:24:27.
Coming into the final turn it was Davide Formolo who led the bunch but Martin and Valverde were close on his wheel.
Unable to hold onto first position, Martin overtook Formolo only to have Valverde snatch victory at the finish line.
