Cycling South Africa announced a multi-stage road race earlier this year and confirmed today that the event will be called the Tour of South Africa.

A number of the world’s top professional teams are expected to take part in the tour, including home team Dimension Data.
The six day event will be held in the first quarter of 2018 and organisers hope the tour will not only create investment in cycling, but also boost the tourism industry and economy.
