Val de Vie Estate in the Cape Winelands has come onboard as an official sponsor for the 2018 Cape Epic.
Cape Epic founder Kevin Vermaak explained their relationship with the estate was being upgraded from venue partner to sponsor.
Management of the estate has committed to hosting the grand finale of the eight-day mountain bike event for the next five years.

“This is an indication of the great relationship we forged this year and we really hope to extend it beyond the five-year contract we have now agreed,” said Vermaak.
The Cape Epic route changes every year but the grand finale – and the last few kilometres – will take place on Val de Vie.
“As South Africa’s top lifestyle estate, Val de Vie’s offering is a perfect association with the Cape Epic – a world leader in sports,” said Ryk Neethling, Val de Vie’s Marketing Director.
“We look forward to elevating our long-term partnership and establishing Val de Vie as the iconic landmark grand finale finishing venue of the world’s leading mountain bike stage race – in the heart of the scenic Cape Winelands.”
