The Team BCX rider beat Dimension Data’s Kent Main and RoadCover’s Bradley Potgieter.
Hoffman was part of a seven-man breakaway that formed in the early stages and lasted until the final climb. Dropping two riders, they were joined by Main, who bridged across from the peloton.
Together the six leaders rolled to the line, where it finished with a sprint between Hoffman and Main.
Demacon’s Carla Oberholzer led the women home in 3:07:07. She was followed by Joanna van de Winkel (3:07:07) and Yzette Oelofse (3:07:09).
