A number of top teams lined up for the Double Century, but it was the Active Bodies outfit that emerged the winners in Swellendam today.
The team, which included Clint Hendricks, Willie Smit, Bradley Potgieter, Ryan Harris, Jayde Julius, Chris Jooste, James Fourie, Andrew Hill, Mitchel Eliot, Kent Main, Pieter Seyffert and JP Burger, completed the 202km team time-trial in a record time of 4:30:12.
On their heels was Alfa Bodyworks Racing, but they were unable to make up the time as the finished second in 4:38:48. Mad Macs pb häzz crossed the line in third in 4:40:24.
Race favourites Tiletoria Train won the women’s race when they crossed the line in 5:38:45. They were followed by Peak Peloton and RoadCover Women’s Cycling Team.
The mixed category was won by Design in Motion Storck, who were followed by HotChillee Mixed Team and Laurium.
