Alfa Bodyworks’ Shameeg Sali won the 80km Langebaan Country Estate Cycle Challenge at the Langebaan Country Estate in Langebaan, Western Cape, today.

Sali finished the men’s race in 2:01:21 ahead of current Makro Bestmed Cycle Tour champion Bradley Gouveris and Wesley Willenburg.
Desiree Strydom won the women’s race in 2:16:08 ahead of Bianca Holtzkampf (2:16:11) and Unice Vorster (2:16:14).
The 30km event was won by Guy de Cafmeyer in 58:56, with Ashton Miller (1:00:54) in second and Raymond Rautenbach (1:01:01) rounding out the podium.
Petro Neethling took the women’s title when she crossed the finish in 1:08:31. She was followed by Eva Needham (1:13:12) and Melissa Mostert (1:17:19).
