Daniyal Matthews and Unice Vorster won the main 38km feature at the Langebaan Country Estate Funride by Saldhana Bay on the West Coast today.
Youngster Matthews topped the men’s event comfortably in 1:17:15, with Christopher Engel crossing second in 1:30:41. Willem Calitz finished just three minutes later to complete the podium.
Finishing 23rd overall, Vorster won the women’s race in 1:47:01, with Julia Marx and Anna Marx placing second and third respectively.

JP Bekker won the men’s 18km race in 48:46, with Marchello Melando finishing second and Mark Maynard rounding out in third just three seconds behind.
Nelize Germishuizen finished fourth overall to win the women’s race in 50:57.
