Magdalene Nicholson, who was originally eyeing 800m glory at the Paarl Boxing Day, achieved her goal when she won the sprint in 69.99 seconds at the Faure Street Stadium today.

She was closely followed by endurance rider, Elfriede Wolfaardt, came second. Under-17 rider, Imaan Phillips, rounded out the podium at third.
