Jason Meaton won the elite men’s race at the first round of the Eastern Cape Cross-Country (XCO) Series in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
Meaton finished the event, which consisted of eight laps, in 1:32:04 to beat Kyle Bradford and Christopher O’Linsky.

The six-lap women’s race was won by Stacey Hyslop in 1:25:10.
