Germany’s Karl Platt won the Porcupine Ridge MTB Challenge in Franschhoek today. View more results below.
Platt finished the 54km feature race in a time of 2:32:14. Tim Boehme was second across the line after 2:32:15. Gerhard Matthysen finished in third in 2:38:48. Mark Nel claimed the fourth spot with a time of 2:38:50, while Aaron Borrill rounded out the top five after 2:38:52.

The women’s feature race was won by Louise Bezuidenhout who claimed a winning time of 2:44:16. The podium was completed by Anja van Zyl in 2:50:56 and Tanya Rabie in 2:55:07. Fourth and fifth place went to Culene Steyn and Sune Henning who finished in 2:57:08 and 2:59:59.
WG van der Walt won the 30km men’s race in a time of 1:41:47. Leo van der Merwe finished in second after 1:25:50, while Villiers van der Walt came in third after 1:26:20.
Nikki Biesheuvel won the women’s race in a time of 1:37:52 and was followed home by Nienke Mostert in 1:38:39 and Chelna Neethling in 1:39:28.
