Team NAD’s Nico Bell and Team Bestmed’s Yzette Oelofse won the men’s and women’s feature race at the Barberton XCM MTB Challenge in Mpumalanga today.
Bell finished the 110km course in a time of 4:35:50. His teammate Gawie Combrinck was second across the finish line after 4:35:52. Andrew Duvenhage completed the podium with a finish time of 4:50:25.

Oelofse, who competed in the first race for her new team, claimed a winning time of 5:50:29. Nadine Visagie was second across the line in 6:50:58, while Chantell Joubert finished in 6:52:33.
In the 77km men’s race, Armand Du Randt reigned victorious and finished the course in 3:19:24. Franco Pelser came in second in Franco Pelser 3:22:20, while Pierre Smith was third over the line in 3:23:21.
Nicolette Griffioen won the women’s race in 3:53:07, Lizle Rosenstein finished second in 3:54:15 and Kristen Louw completed the podium with a time of 3:58:36.
